Artist Statement

I stand for form and composition,

for colour defiance and provocation,

match and discrepancy.

I stand for reuse.

Treasure is found in the texture and design that is left behind.

I stand for the hidden image within an image.

For those little worlds cornered between line and mark.

My work lies between drawing, ink, fine pencil and paper scraps.

For me, more is more.

I fall for space filling.

I AM

I’m an art enthusiast, a persistent devotee.

The only guidance I follow is the exploration of material.

I love feeling the brush and the lines you make on a smooth surface.

I love the fluidity of black ink, and the splashes and blotches of water drops on a cotton paper.

My working space is also full, full of matter, and ideas, and memories.
